Denpasar, Bali: Indonesia called on all nations in the world to return to peaceful means in resolving the conflict. Peace is not only an opportunity but also a choice.
President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono said this in his opening address to the Bali Arts Festival-24, as well as the declaration of the Summit or World Hindu World Hindu that the first Summit, at the Cultural Park Denpasar, Bali, Sunday (10/6) evening.
"We are very sorry and sad, in many parts of the earth's human tragedy and violence still occurs. Therefore, from this island Indonesia invites and calls upon all nations in the world to return to peaceful means in resolving any conflict," said President SBY. "Knitting is essential for peace not only opportunities, but also the choice that we must run together," the President added.
World's first Hindu summit is the theme for World Harmony. The summit, said the President, can be an intensive communication bridge between the organization and Hindu leaders from around the world.
"International Hindu community can be the glue in the Hindu Interfaith relations and relations with people of other religions by promoting the principles of harmony, peace and welfare of the world," said President SBY.
